GLOBAL FORUM 2009 STEERING COMMITTEE

General Information about Global Forum Steering Committee

General Information about Global Forum Steering Committee
Global Forum prestige is a consequence of the event management, conducted with great success by the President Sylviane Toporkoff and Vice-President Sebastien Levy.
Over the 17 editions that have been held so far, Global Forum has been sustained by partners from all over the world, some of them becoming permanent collaborators and later members of the Steering Committee.

Today, the Steering Committee represents a real institution, composed of officials, experts and consultants, organized in subcommittees which act in North America, Europe/Middle East, Asia and Oceania.

Role of the Global Forum Steering Committee

Global Forum Steering Committee is in charge of the scientific organisational part of the event.
Each subcommittee meets periodically for analysis and proposals related to the upcoming annual editions. Analyses on the global situation are conducted and proposals are consequently made for the future themes, topics and other aspects.

The results are centralized by Global Forum management, rediscussed in an extended framework and based on all of the above-mentioned information, the first public version of the program is released.

Global Forum 2009 Steering Committee for Romania

For the 2009 Edition of Global Forum, the results of the analyses and proposals made by the regional subcommittees have been centralized and presented at the Global Forum Steering Committee which took place on the 18th of May 2009.

The meeting was hosted by the Taipei City Office in Paris, France.

Each aspect of the program was debated; discussions about the global economic crisis, the role of the IT&C towards reforming and modernizing the economy in and post-crisis were also included. Consequently, one of the most important topics for this year’s edition in Romania will be the economic crisis.
