Global Forum in Romania
Global Forum is an annual international and independent event, a Think Tank dedicated to the Economic, Political and Social issues related to the successful evolution of the Information Society.
Romania has won the competition with US, China and Switzerland to organize this year the 18th edition of the Global Forum.
The event was brought in Romania through a sustained lobby, by Virgiliu Stan, General Manager Bloomers Consulting, Representative of Global Forum in Eastern Europe. Virgiliu Stan was also nominated as General Manager of the Bucharest edition.
A special role related to the involvement and the support of the event by the Romanian Government had Dorin Marian, Head of the Prime Minister Office.
The event will took place on Monday the 19th & Tuesday the 20th, October 2009 at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest. It’s the first time in its 17 years old history when the event took place in an Eastern European country.

Over 500 political leaders, mayors, multinational company leaders, university professors and different association representatives, well-known consulting and law firms have participated at Global Forum 2009 in Romania.
Among the attendees, representatives of the US Administration, the European Commission, and the United Nations Organization, governmental representatives from Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Middle East were present.
