This year, Romania has been chosen to organize the18th edition of the Global Forum, after winning a strong competition against the US, China and Switzerland.
The event will take place on Monday, the 19th and Tuesday the 20th, October 2009, at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest. It’s the first time in its 18-year-old history when the event takes place in an Eastern European country. |
Exceptional organizing and participation
The Forum is organized at the highest level, in partnership or with the support of the Romanian Presidency, Government and other Romanian national agencies, governmental or non-governmental not-for-profit associations.
Until now we have confirmed the partnership and support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Society, the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania and many more.
Participants from all around the world have been invited, some having confirmed already: Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
At the Global Forum 2009 we expect over 250 political leaders, mayors, multinational company leaders, university professors and different association representatives, well-known consulting and law firms.
Event structure
The event is structured on two days, Monday, the 19th & Tuesday, the 20th of October.
Sunday evening, on the 18th of October, a cocktail is planned for the VIP participants.
The Forum sessions will be held at the Parliament Palace and are split in two sections:
- Section 1, from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon;
- Section 2, dedicated to the Local Government, is organized on Tuesday
Organizers will hold the Gala Dinner on Monday night.
